Of course I rushed right out at the time and got the powder without writing down the recipe! I picked up the Nosler #6 book the other day, but the only 4350 they have listed is the IMR. I've heard there's a temperature tolerance difference between the two powders, but are they that much different, performance-wise? I've loaded 60 grains of it for 160 grain Speer Grand Slams in my Steyr Model S 7mm Remmy for years and it loves that load. I have a 300wsm that I bought partly because I had read a lot about the great "inherent" accuracy of the cartridge. I tried several different bullets with IMR4350 which shoots well in many of my guns. Never found a bullet that shot well in the 300wsm with the IMR4350, so I switched to H4831, another powder that I nearly always have good luck with. I tried a couple other powders with no luck. None were really bad, just not as good as I had hoped. Then about a year or year & a half ago, I ran accross some RL-17 at Albuquerque Sportsman's and gave it a try since it is specifically made for the short magnums. I loaded up some 165 Accubonds and some 168 TSXs, both to medium velocities.
I varied the load and they both shot better groups at even hotter loads.
