You can even “break” the connection between the two handles and simply grab one with the A.P.T., give a short drag clockwise or counterclockwise, and the two handles are now independent of each other. Then switch to the Anchor Point tool, put the point of the V on the end of the control handle you want to get rid of, and click. Usually it’s easiest to create a Curve point first. It’s creating a hybrid point that sometimes causes a little trouble, but it’s not really hard. To go from Curve to Corner, use the Anchor Point tool to simply click on the curve anchor point. Not necessary, though you can if you want. Some people think they need to do this and get them pointing in the right direction at the same time.
